Maker and signature help for (soda) vase sought

Attempting to id this vase for a friend, it is surprisingly light in weight and so I wondered if this was made with soda glass.

Nice slightly crude execution with wobbly fire polished rim, neat snapped pontil mark and a signature I am having trouble with.

It feels quite contemporary to me does anyone have any suggestions? (About the vase ;D)

Forgot to mention sizes, 15cm tall and 10 in diameter.
