I've had a thing stuck in this vase for about 3 years now. I still don't know what it is.

I gave up after a while and just shoved it in the bottom draw. It could be a £20 pound note.  :(

My glass collection is quite small still, so I can just keep a detailed database on my computer of what everything is - along with what I paid for it in case I ever want to sell it, and what it sold for in case I stumble across another at a bargain price.  :)

It's less messy than stickers.  :P

I've got a red one like the purple one! Also a few other bottles that are approximately this shape, (which reminds me of volumetric flasks I used to use in the lab, I always liked them). Some have indents, some are just round at the bottom. I will have to get myself organised with the camera again soon, and post some pictures.
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)

That's why I use my Gallery http://www.yobunny.org.uk/gallery1/ on Yobunny. It gives me a photographic record I can add to and update very easily... and no annoying labels or rolled bits of paper to deal with!

More likely that it was used as a spitoon. It wasn't me though, I never spit at glass. I'm too much of a gentleman for that.  :)

Bpt... ting (sound effect).

I wonder if it has been used to hold flowers Tigerchips?  It might be foliage.  It's difficult to get clean if its been there for years.  Try soaking overnight in biological washing liquid - it might help :P

Anne, I've just done what you said. It is frothy at the top so now my vase looks like it's got Rabies.

I would never put flowers in there because I save all my flowers for the ladies.

Pinkspoons amber vase is different. I have seen a Murano "VeArt"  vase the same colour and with one of them thing's going inwards on it. I'm not sure if they signed all their glass.

I know nothing about the company so I'm probably making a fool of myself again.

It's an incredibly thin glass the vase is made out of - I had to double-check that it wasn't plastic when I bought it. No signatures on its bum either.  :(

The dimples are about 12mm deep and were made with a hexagonal-shaped tool.
