keep saying I won't buy any more U. glass, then I see something in the charity shop that I just can't leave behind - but I think I'd be worried about any bloke that collects posy vases

The reason I came away with this one is simply because of the daylight colour, which is darker than any other piece of U. that I have seen. It is neither green nor yellow, and looking at Barrie Skelcher, the colour might equate to his light amber, or possibly even dark amber. No marks of course, but reasonable amount of wear, and is the only posy ring that I have seen with this almost 'hammered' look. About 17.5 cms. in diameter, and glows beautifully under the torch. Does anyone think that this amber colour, plus surface finish, might indicate a particular origin or date?? Grateful for any thoughts, and thanks for looking. Paul S.
