Going to have a go at this one purely due to the size and the style and the stand have seen the same if not similar marked as Art Vannes.  Would help if you could take the stones out and photo the base.  If it is Art Vannes it is a quality piece and was only in operation for 20 years so is quite collectible.  I have a fair few AV iems but have two on the board at the moment waiting for ID as they are not marked but have a fair suspension they are.  Will pic the base of one of my stamped ones which will I think will match yours.  If you google Art Vannes you should be able to pin it down and have an answer either way.

Just thinking could you re-pic outside if possible because the greyish tinge could sway it the other way.  AV is clear.

http://archive.liveauctioneers.com/archive2/2312/1017_1_lg.jpg Another type base. I think it also depends which angle the pic is taken.  I think the pic of my base looks quite stumpy but it isn't not the easiest to pic

hi there
personnally i dont think it is Art Vannes, it may just be the stones detracting from it but the colouring doesnt look right to me, i would hazzard a guess thats its more likely to be Italian.
really would help to get a couple more pics without the stones, and one of the base
michelle
