I think it maybe arts & crafts? czech? and its time period as iam having conflicting info in my own research. I also have this peice signed but cant read the signiture it says 'Matafa?' does this ring any bells? also an approx valuation would e helpful to. The peice has raised lines with dots on! First you could use the SEARCH function here: MTARFA

:) Hi Danielle,
Nice vase! Mtarfa is from Malta. Someone might be able to name a model number, but meanwhile, as Pamela says, try the search function. Let us know if you need any help. :)
Danielle360:
Hi dont think it is MATAFA glass, i have seen several similar peices on ebay which leads me to think its 1916 arts & crafts bohemian glass czech. That is why i have posted it here on the glass board to determine what the peice actually is? Does anyone recognise it?
Thanks, Danielle

eBay should never be your first port of call for research unless the listings back up their claims with firm evidence - the majority of attributions on there, especially for allegedly older glass, are by misinformed amateur sellers hoping for the best and experienced dealers who should know better!

(incidentally, there are only two A's in Mtarfa, not three - this may aid your search.)
