Italian jug help please - ID = Covetro
« on: October 14, 2009, 07:20:05 PM »
Is this another Empoli?  I have got some books on order finally yeahhhh I couldn't wait until xmas including Ivo's as he has helped me loads - thank you  :-*
Meanwhile could anyone please help with this one - Clearly Italian - I think the handle gives it away as modern but still like to know who please.  Also it is marked with "3" is it like 3 litres?  Also there is another mark tried to get pic but not very good, I thought it looked like "65" but on closer inspection it looks like a bubble D then capital E or maybe my eyes are playing tricks - does anyone know what that could be.
Thanks for your help.

I can't make out the mark on your jug - can you compare it with the mark in the 4th photo in this topic? http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,27071.0.html Let us know if it's a match. ;)

Almost forgot to say, the "3" will most likely be a mould mark - most often seen on Italian and French glassware, but I suppose some others would use them too.

Hi,

It's a Covetro jug.
Looks like a end of seventies item.
The pattern is close to the Floral theme which was main family for the company till the 90's.

At last for sure: Covetro
