if you are wrong..im sure we will find out..i googled it and seen the same bowl..the base looks the same as mine..more importantly..i liked the price  :thup:
of course..mine is probably one of those ones that i would have to pay  someone to take away !

I would like to put forward the idea that most glassworks in the fifties and sixties had some form of nail mould glass in their repertoire - and among those WMF with the brand name Perlora. But Empoli, Leerdam, Maastricht, Whitefriars, various works in the US and Japan and as far afield as Rigolleau Argentina made items which are virtually undistinguishable. So for nail moud glass I'd keep a large reserve in attribution.

Hard to see the shape from the picture, which seems to be taken from quite a low angle, and I can't make out the bubbles very clearly either. However, the shape you describe is similar to the shape of WMF Perlora 8201, which came in green, topaz, and gold ruby (goldrubin). The bubbles on Perlora are quite small and very regular.  I'll attach a picture of mine in topaz. However, the 1951 catalogue of WMF (shown in the WMF book by Burschel and Scheiffele) has the height at 14 cm, 5 1/2 ".

Have a look and tell us what you think.

David, how does the base of your ´Perlora´ look like, pls?

My bubbles appear larger.your glass rim appears much thicker..or it could be the photo.i will try and take better photos..and upload them on photobucket..see if that is any better..

I would also say not Perlora because of the reasons you give.

Dirk:  Here's a very quick photo of the base. As you can see from the wear on the edge of the base, it's slightly concave.

Thanks, David! I was just trying to figure out, if there´s any base treatment
characteristical for WMF. My conclusion so far: no! There seems to be everything:
a concave base like on your Perlora piece and some smaller vases, a ground ring
on mould-blown vases with ground rim, a ground out pontil mark, both - a ground
out pontil mark and a ground ring, completely ground base ...

Arghhh..this is driving me batty (well more than usual)..i managed to get a small UV pen light..it did glow green, but not a lot..but i cant get it to show on a photo !..so..i bought a blacklight bulb, RUBBISH..so i need tips on what kind of UV light to buy, and how to take a photo..anyone ? im begging  :cry:
