I think it might be closer to home - the shape reminds me of something in Eric Reynold's book on John Walsh Walsh, and the gilding looks as if it could have come from one of the decorators working in Stourbridge.

Have just seen a Webbs gilded goblet(1920's)with very similar gilding,is Webbs a possibility?Keith.

Keith, did you see the Flower Centre on page 41 of CH 20th Century British Glass?  The shape at the top and the gilding looks similar. 
I take it the pontil mark is polished on the vase?

Thanks m,had seen the picture but it's been so long since I posted the piece I'd forgotten,I always wondered if it may have been Webbs,there's no polished pontil mark just a a small dome in the centre of the foot,more pic's....

yes, I thought you'd seen that one but maybe not the epergne.
Can you get a clearer close picture of the gilding at all please?  I'd be interested to see it closer and the texture of it.
