Am in hopes that this might look familiar to someone and would appreciate any information regarding this bowl.

Yellow stain at rim, star at center of pinwheels and other areas.

Hi Sandy,
I think your bowl was made by Walther in Siebenstern / Germany somewhere
in the 60´s. Here are two examples with the same decoration :
