Sowerby "Maid" trinket set
Anne:
I'm trying to find out what this looks like but no luck so far. Glen's fab Sowerby CD (no.2) describes it as a "bright diamond design" but the image is missing from the catalogue scan so I can't picture what it would have looked like and I'm trying to match up a set which might be it.
Does anyone have either a copy of the catalogue with the missing picture included, or a photo of the Maid set / or any pieces of it please... if so may I see a copy? Thanks in hope! 8)

I wonder if the ever elusive Sowerby "Maid" set is one of the missing Sowerby Trinket Set pattern numbers 2634, 2652 or 2707.
Edit: Just remembered Maid is a 7 piece set per the 1933 Catalogue, and 2707 is stated as a 5 piece on GTS so 2707 is likely out of the running.

LinzC:
I found an advert with a Sowerby Derby vase and a 7-piece "British Maid" trinket set...
It was very dark so have tried enhancing it, so to see the pattern better.
It was from an edition of the West London Observer in 1931.
Could this possibly be the Sowerby Maid? The shapes are very similar to other Sowerby trinket sets
LinzC:
Not sure if this is any clearer

That is amazing LinzC well found!
I instantly recognised the Advert pieces as Mystery Trinket Set #99

The bright blue is so Sowerby and the uranium green, I have this set, it comes in a 7 piece, the glass feels right for Sowerby too. I'd say it's very likely to be the elusive Sowerby Maid Set! 8)
