possible Czech. pressed vase??
« on: November 04, 2009, 07:32:14 PM »
Had hoped that I wud find this in Mark Hill's book under the 'pressed' section  -  but no joy.     Typical 'bird bath' base (not conclusive I know) - very heavey for size (very thick walled) - and typically no marks.   Size 21.5 cms. tall by about 14 cms. wide, with considerable base wear.   Wud be very grateful if anyone does recognize the design, as was hoping it might have been Czechoslovakian   Coincidentally, at the beginning of the week did find a nice 8" example of the green version of the Jan Schmid piece shown on page 96 of the same book.    thanks for looking.    Paul S.
