Cut to clear Perfume. Who is a likely maker?
« on: September 01, 2010, 12:09:29 PM »
This pretty perfume was mny Grandmother's.  I can remember it from 1952 and I always loved it even when I realized it had a little damage.  Sorry it is in storage - somewhere, at present so I don't have a base shot to help.  I assumed it is Bohemian, but ??????

Hi Ross,

This glass could one of several makers. It depends on how sharp the cuts are. It could be St Louis glass, or Baccarat. Or it could American cut glass. If you could provide photos of closer shots, and the bottom, I may be able to narrow down. It also could be Bohemian, but thinking not likely.

Check out our American Cut Glass and St Louis examples on www.perfumebottles.org - we have a Virtual Museum of all kinds of perfume bottles, and a search engine.

Cheers,
Susan
