Thanks Pinky - that answers what I was asking!

Cathy B.

Tramonto.:
Cathy, Pat, Nic..many thanks for your responses.  I wasn't really expecting it to actually be Whitefriars.

It isn't quite as tall as the others on the site though (thanks for the link). It is 5 and three-quarter inches - I hope that doesn't rule it out.

In any case, not bad for a quid.

Thanks

Pinkspoons:
Nope - 5 3/4" is indeed the correct height.

Congrats on the excellent buy!  :D

Pinkspoons:
Oh, actually...

I'm confused... (easily done)

In the 1972 catalogue pattern #9729 is 5 3/4" tall...

But by 1974, when it becomes available in ruby, it's grown an inch to 6 3/4"... and seems to have changed in shape (more flared at the bottom)!

Tramonto.:
 Ohh, double confused (very easily done).  Could I have a throwback?  At widest it is 1 3/4" across the bottom - if that makes any difference?  I'm intrigued.   Thanks for the info!
