question on large Chance 'SWIRL' pattern piece.
« on: November 12, 2009, 09:01:49 PM »
I haven't put a pic. with this as the pattern is so well known, and feel sure someone will be able to give the answer fairly quickly.   Picked up a very large (342mm diameter) Chance 'Swirl' pattern plate recently - has the slightly turned up rim  -  and in view of the very large size, wondered how it is correctly designated.   Do I call it a tray, or a platter or just a mega plate?   My thanks in advance to eveyone (anyone  :)) who may read this.  Paul S.

It's a tray, if it is Chance. There are lookalikes you know

thanks, no I didn't know there are lookalikes.    Mine doesn't have a label - seems good quality tho.   I will compare with another that is a definite, and check for defferences.     Paul S.
