Hi,

Could someone confirm whether this is a large glass or dessert bowl please? - It carries the Wedgewood Portland Vase mark, albeit unclear.

1. Was this the first stamp used after Wedgwood took over Kings Lynn?
2. Is this part of the "Canberra" range which was made at Lemington?

The only reference I can find regarding anything remotely like this item is in Andy Mcconnells 20th century glass book page 229. If anyone has the Wedgwood Glass book by Susan Tobin, could they please confirm whether RSW designs are documented in detail please and is this item in there ?

I am trying to acquire this book which I believe is currently out of print... ... unless of course there is a book in the pipeline......

A similar Ebay item link:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300366498468&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

All info and help always appreciated,

Thanks Sharron

Pattern No. RSW 167...range called 'Stonehenge'

Portland vase mark was the 1st used.

Info from Susan Tobin....the book has a pretty comprehensive appendix of patterns produced but not all are illustrated, these are on page 21.

PS. proportionally it looks most like the sundae bowl shown in the book, but dimensions aren't given.
