Topic: Does anybody recognise this iridescent goblet vase (contemporary I think)?

I don't think I know of any Mdina goblets or chalices which don't have this broken pontil scar. It's the rest of it that is simply wrong!

ohhh ive started something now havent i , i agree with chopping-liszt in that everything is completly wrong for it to be a harris piece as i said in the earlier thread although my head & heart is saying NO because ive never seen a piece in this shape or the way the colour has been done, plus the iridescent effect being all over isnt really there style either,
I dont know why there was just something about it that was causing some doubt as over the years ive come accross the odd piece that doesnt look like what it is (if that makes sense) hence why i emailed you.
Hopefully somebody may know what it actually is

I do know exactly what you mean - for a good while I collected certain bits of early Mtarfa, believing them to be Mdina. But I've not regretted it.

And I've made LOADS of mistakes, I still do.

Can I say a big thank you for all the discussion and thoughts that have gone into the origins of this vase :clap:  I really appreciate all the time you have taken to look into it.

I am now going to use it at Christmas
