Glass Kangaroo - any ID please?
« on: November 19, 2009, 10:40:09 AM »
Another query from me in West Oz. I had to buy this piece when I saw it. I have never seen a glass Kangaroo before or since. Anyone any idea of maker, date etc?

It has an orange glass centre, cased in clear. Feet (base)  are clear and cut and polished flat.
regards

This is a tough one. If it is large, it may be the type of piece that was imported by JI Co (Jordan Import Co) from Murano into the USA. It reminds me of some of their pieces.

Thnaks for the comments. Sorry, I should have given some indication of size. It is 20 cm wide -(feet to tail) and 18 cm High (nose to feet), so quite a large piece. Weighs 556 grams. I had wondered about it being Murano myself.

Thanks JAK
