Hi all, i picked this up a couple of days, i have a few suspicions, i think its bohemian, although could be completly wrong.
The vase has lost its collar, the top is very rough although not sharp.
The vase is made (the best way to describe it is dirty clear) glass with big splodges of yellow around the top half and a deep purple around the lower half, the vase has a frosted effect with a slight irridescent sheen
The base is almost flat, with a slight indent towards the middle, where the indent is the glass changes ever so slighly with marks i think where it has been finished off. There is good age wear to the base where it makes contact, at a guess i would think very early 20th century maybe late 19th?
The piece stands at 12cms, 11.5cms in diameter at its widest and weighs 480g, lots of bubbles inclusions and frit.
Very pretty piece, would look much better with the collar i would imagine
any ideas on maker??
many thanks
michelle
