Id on tumblers please
« on: January 04, 2010, 01:13:25 PM »
Three tumblers to mull over.  Identical white pattern so transfer printed? but handpainted with glittery gold.  These I would say do not have much age to them as not much sign on bases.  I have taken a shot of little marks on the bases all the glasses have these (the 5 vertical white bits shown) some have three some four.  Does anyone know who please?
TIA
Margi

Hi Frank those 5 marks just above the white arch are the marks I was talking about.  I will try for better shots tomorrow  :)

Updated pics - how can I forget going shopping tomorrow.  Also to add there are circles on the base like it has been on a wheel, I know someone will tell me the correct terminology  ;D
Thank you
Margi

Gold could have been printed too, still don't really see the marks on the base though.

Thanks for having another look Frank.  May I ask if the gold were transfer printed also would that be identical on the three glasses or different as the gold is definately different on all three. The 5 marks are visible just above the orangey looking arch near the top there is also a few visible on the bottom.  Admittedly they are small but they are definately there.  I thought they might have given away the manufacturer possibly.  Would you agree that they look fairly recent?  They do appear and feel quality.
Thank you
Margi
