Cased Molded Iridescent Nouveau What?
« on: January 29, 2010, 02:20:26 AM »
This vase has me totally stumped.  It doesn't have evidence of wear or age, but has the look and feel of something from the 1920s era.  The outer glass is electric blue, inside is blue and it is cased and has an iridescent sheen both inside and out.  It's a mold blown piece with prominent mold lines.  Any help or clues would be appreciated.
Charles.

Hi Charles,
pretty, but id lean towards 20 years old than 1920s.
Cheers

Possibilities,  Consolidated Catalonian (not sure if they did this form) or Dugan Barcelona (both late 1920's).

I am going to stick my neck out here, and wait for James Measell to come along and correct me.... I think possibly 40's and Fenton.....  I am not sure what the line is called....   I'll drop him a note to take a look...

The Phoenix/Consolidated price guide appears to be out of print, but some diligence on the net leads me to conclude that this is a probably an uncommon cased piece in the Catalonian series, produced between 1938 and 1940.
