Who made this dog?
« on: January 29, 2010, 08:13:49 PM »
Hi there,

I have been sent the following photo as an example of Manchester pressed glass but we do not know if it was made by Percival Vickers or the Derbyshires. I believe that there is a dog piece in one of the Percival Vickers catalogues, but I have yet to see the catalogue. I also hear that there is a dog commonly attributed to P&V, presumably the one in the catalogue, but again I don't know what it looks like.

Can anyone help me to give this mutt a maker?!

Regards,
Neil

I once had one of these dogs in vaseline yellow glass which I bought at auction and was attributed to Percival Vickers and differs from the other dog by facing forward
