Has anyone any information on what I believe is an Italian glass term "maccette"?
Some years ago I had some blue and pink glass lightly flecked with darker blue and pink enamels respectively, as though powdered enamels had been picked up, marvered in, and cased. I was told that this was maccette glass made on Murano and that it dated from roughly 1895–1920.
I've never seen or heard the term used elsewhere.
