Is this a Loetz Tango?
« on: February 14, 2010, 05:29:39 PM »
Hi,

I´ve bought this vase on ebay recently - without being too optimisticly. The shape however
seems to match the vase displayed on the photo of the Passau museum on Alfredo Villanueva´s
site (see decorated pieces):
http://sites.google.com/site/loetzandglass/loetz-4--tango-glass-1
Do you think I´ve got a real Tango?

It´s ca. 95mm tall with a diameter of ca. 155mm

TIA
Dirk

Based on the shape in the Passau for decorated Loetz Tango, I would have to say yes.....  nice find...

Thanks again! Do you know if there´s a way to compare the measurements (without
going to Passau)?

p.s. I love buy-it-now!

Possibly from the Loetz line drawings... but they can be quite tedious to browse through. Many of the Tango pieces are reasonably small, so your dimensions fall in line with what I expected to see...

What did it set you back, if you don't mind my asking, and also, how was it listed?
