Thanks Peter, that's cheered me up  :D. The vase is also in excellent condition. One other thing the base is marginly impressed from just inside the rim so that there is nothng in the way of movement scratches except a few little ones on the very base edge where the vase made contact.

ps.  :oops: Can you please take a look at this rather less interesting vase (my opinion and probably yours) picked up for just 50p yesterday in a local boot sale, no damage . You can see the impressed swirls in dark and pale blue running through a very pale blue vase in varying widths. It has a cased interior which stops about 1.5" from the base. It weighs 800gms and is 9" tall. http://tinypic.com/fo0rw9.jpg>
