is this old or new wine glass?
« on: March 05, 2010, 02:13:24 PM »
I picked this up today at a skip thinking it may be an old wine glass ,seems to be lead crystal and is cut with six lines around the bowl and the lip of the glass has been worked on ,clear tall solid stem and the base is alot larger than the bowl although it was hard to picture, many thanks.

It is old but only if you consider 20 years is a long time. Sorry to tell the truth.

I think that is a stemmed votive (not a wine glass) of recent production and I think the manufacturer is Pasabahce (turkey) - but as always, there is no substiture for handling.

It does look quite shiny and new ! the only thing that got me thinking was the base being larger than the top so i thought it was worth an opinion  -thankyou for letting me know .
