Clear round vase with white swirls?
« on: March 11, 2010, 02:53:17 PM »
This bowl in it's simplicity looks very nice displayed.  The bowl measures 17cm in height, 2.6cm dia. at top and 6cm dia. to base.  There is a 3.5cm polished pontil, concaved.  Can anyone please provide originator and age.  Many thanks!

seen a few of these around over the last year or so, saw one on ebay a few weeks back attributed to whitefriars, although really not sure that is accurate or not.

HI, I'm sure these have been discussed before, as many people confuse them with Whitefriars lamp bases. They were sold by Woolworths, I have two myself and I like them whoever made them!!!! ;D      Cheryl

I have a purple one on my Wannabee blog with the Woolworths label.  I think they cost about £7.99 at the time.
