did Zanetti sign everything?

I'm not sure he signed everything he did during his career, Michelle, but all the pieces that I know by him are signed. Of course, we get caught in a loop there -- I know they're by him because they're signed, so I look for his signature to see if they're by him. This doesn't look quite like the one that I know he made.
I was also looking to the possibility it is a Boda or FM Ronneby piece.

, its one of those pieces you think oh that will be easy to get an ID on as its quite distinctive. Hopefully someone will know it instantly. Sorry couldnt be of any help but will keep an eye out on my travels worldly and webbly (webbly being www ;) )

I ran across this listing tonight: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190500840125. It is a lot like my cat, though the tail is shorter. The label is Ekenas, which makes a lot of sense. I thought my cat might be Scandinavian.

;D
He may well be Scandi - he's got a great big thick tail, so he's a long-haired beast. He might be a Norwegian forest cat - my favourite breed-type! (sorry, just being silly, Anita.)
I personally think the similarities outweigh the differences between the two cats shown - the head and ears and eyes are very alike, the other differences, height and width of the body-loop, and length of tail are just "individual differences" - even the short tail is still thick.

For what it is worth, I agree with Sue about the similarities being likely significant. The odd shape of the online tail looks a bit polished, undulating... possibly repaired??... the look of it makes me worry it may have been longer in any case.... especially when looked at in comparison to your example. Just where damage may occur on this piece...
Now you have a likely factory name, it should be easier to find more of these cats from Ekenas, with long or short tails (!) and so further confirm it. Well done Anita, attributions can be a very long road.... you seem to be very near the end of this particular one!!
