Hi alan

Thank you for your sound advice ebay can be a bit hit and miss and as im no expert on paperweights id be weary about listing the Harlequin as ysart due to no marks but suppose collectors would make there own minds up.
I take it they were relizeing high prices a few years ago ?.
i've seen some simular harlequins but with letter canes ect listed at £185 buy it now prices.

i'd be very surprised to see a harlequin go for anywhere near £185. These pieces can be stunning but the top end even with a H cane would probably be 120/140, weaker less interesting and unsigned examples nearer 70/80. Caithness and Selkirk examples less than half this level. The Ysart examples were made in relatively large numbers (along with fountains) compared with some other designs made by Mr Ysart Esq.
