Pair fireglow vases - Webb or?
« on: May 20, 2010, 05:18:06 PM »
Picked up a pair of these.  The vase is 7" tall.  Ground and polished rim.  The pontil is polished and comes down to a point.  The satin finish is extremely fine, actually soft to the touch.  Nice red glow when backlit.  I found an earlier discussion regarding fireglow from Webb and Sandwich, but the links to references are long since dead.  The decoration looks very similar to several in the great glass gallery attributed to Webb.  Opinions?  Thanks for looking.

From the Webbs pieces I've seen and those I have I don't think(watch and see me proved wrong)that it's one of theirs, would say Bohemian, any chance of a closer picture?

I assumed you meant a closeup of the decoration.
