Czech vase Unor?
« on: April 28, 2013, 10:29:05 PM »
I came across this unusual vase. I believe it is Czech from the 70's. On the front you can read UNOR (February in Czech ?), and a there is a red star on the back. Height is 23cm, and the wall is quite thick. Has anyone seen this kind of vase before?
Thanks,
Attila

I wonder if this has some political connection, with the Red Star of USSR? It was in February (Únor) 1948 when Czechoslovakia became a communist state so perhaps this is an anniversary piece? Very interesting.
