Blue cube shaped vase - Dartington?
« on: October 10, 2008, 04:38:34 PM »
This cube shaped vase has been an enigma to me for a year or so, I saw a Per Lutken design that was a little similar (with a neck) but leafing through Glass Is Life with a magnifying glass has convinced me otherwise.
The colour has made me wonder if it might have been made by Dartington Glass.
It is roughly 6 inches/15 centimeters per side with rounded corners, the base has been ground and polished to sit flat with a gently concaved slightly bumpy centre (not polished pontil).
The glass is thick and the vase weighs over 2 kg.
Any ideas?
