How early is 'early'?

In the case of this paperweight, I think early may mean before the maker Fu-chang Wang had his morning break, rather than 19th or even 20th century ...

I go along with the 'continental' bit of the description. I'm sure it was made on a continent.

one of the reasons if i sell a weight i first ask on here what it is. beter than looking a right chip
there is always someone worse off .
