I am no expert on Whitefriars, but doesn't this item look much more like early Perthshire? Or maybe some other maker? (Item specifics says maker : Whitefriars)

It's certainly similar to my Perthshire inkwell.  Mine has a big "P" in the center, though, and the red lines in the stopper extend all the way to the bottom.
