Candidate for ugliest vase

(1/2) > >>

astrid:
Since I've seen people contend in several posts for the ugliest vase award, I have to send in my piece! Bought it in a charity shop because I couldn't decide at the time whether it was hideous or interesting. Both, probably...

At the time I didn't know what to make of it, it had a paper 'made in Italy' label on the bottom and it seems to have a polished pontil, so some handwork has gone into it. Nowadays, I think it's Chinese (or perhaps Polish) - I've seen more of these labels on junk sale items that didn't look like they had ever seen Italy, but if anyone knows more about the use of this label, or even about this ugly (but still slightly interesting) vase, it's always welcome of course.

So, how ugly do you think it is compared to the other entries?

Ivo:
Piffugly, Astrid - really horrid.  :hiclp:

Paul S.:
take the 'plasticine' off Astrid, and it might then look quite presentable ;D   Glass is 'all things to all men/women' - whenever I say ..."look at this vase it is ugly", other people say no it is appealing.   Don't know how we will ever get to agree on finding a really 'ugly duckling' - but think this may come close. ;D   Sorry can't think of anything useful to say.

SPACEY:
ummmmmmm yes that is sad!! not sure if that is good or not in the fine glass world. An italian bad day???......... or not :)

dirk.:
mmmm - still undecided, which one from my collection is the ugliest, but this one on ebay.de
looks like something you would expect to find in an orc“s armpit:
ugly
