Is this Murano?? Glass makers on the Spanish island of Majorca do similar vases to this particularly Lafiore Glass.

YAY here are some pics I just took. The vase is 1.5 kgs, cased it seems, tiny red foamy bubbles esp around rim area and also a smooth but rough outer....... HELP!! Has bigger bits of i guess glass and irrreuglar sized bubble through out. HELP would be so great as it is driving me mad. amanda :tsk:

I don't remember where, but I too saw a lot of vases just like this in a shop a few years ago, they came in a variety of colours and had a very rough feel to the outside, like sandpaper.  :spls:

Good for you Amanda, that's all that matters.  :)

All I can remember about the place I saw them in, is that it was a pokey little shop, that mainly sold lamps and lighting fixtures, but it had these vases dotted about too.  I think it was somewhere in Manchester.  Sorry, I know that isn't much help!
