Clear Heavy Vase -- Cuts, dashes, and grooves ??

Hello Rose,

just discovered your topic. If "it´s something" does not depend on the company, who produced it;
in my opinion it just depends on the purity of the raw glass, the brilliance of the crystal after the acid-polishing-process and of course the
complexity of the cutting-structure and accuracy of the hand-cutting-process of the different craftsmen, who worked with this piece.
To find out, who made the mould, it´s importand to have the exact meassures; I think almost every european producer of hand cut crystal had a
variety of different X-Vases in his collection. As far as one can tell from your pictures, the brilliance and quality of glass look nice and it´s definately hand cut.
Even so the structure of the cutting is not very compex, it´s still unusual and well-balanced (to me). So I would say, "it´s something".

Since you where referring to my glass-pages, here are just two examples of different X-Vases from Hessenglas and Pochmann.
(in both cases the raw-crystal came from Hessenglas and in both cases the acid-polishing was made by Walter Ullmann) You piece´s origin is
definately not from Hessenglas, because the X-shape of HG-Vases is more pronounced as you can see.
