Czech glass identification
« on: August 05, 2010, 11:44:48 AM »
I am trying to get info on a piece that I think is Czech glass, possibly by Josef Hospodka. It is 17 inches tall and is a double vase. Any help would be appreciated. Pics attached.

Hi:

Welcome to the Board. I have more trouble identifying this type of vase than any other types I know, so I'm not the person to give you an attribution.

I was going to point you to Jindrich Parik's, a member of the the GMB, website, but it seems to be down and I think I remember somebody telling me that Jindrich is on holiday. The link is http://picasaweb.google.cz/Jindra8526/UseWwwWebarealCzCeskoslovenskeskloForAccessToGalleries#5443321736052888098  and I'm sure it will be up soon. He has several Chribska catalogues online there.

Another idea would be use the search engine on the Board to look for threads with Hospodka or Chribska in the title.

I'd say it was Hospodka, but I wouldn't trust myself too much.

David
