Heckert? Kralik? Please helpe me ID 2 vases
« on: August 15, 2010, 04:10:20 PM »
Curiosity has led me to ask you about the 2 vases below.

Mod: the second vase is discussed in another thread. Please click here to view.

I have had them for a couple of years and often look at them and wonder how old they are and where they came from.  Any info would be appreciated, do you know what this crackle pattern is called even? Can anyone put me out of my misery?

You've already asked about the enamelled one. To bump it up, reply to yourself.

It's best to ask about one item per thread, otherwise we get confused.

Lovely items but beyond late 19th/early 20th century and probably Bohemian. I have no real idea.

Mod: see mod comment above.

Very pretty vases.

A good source of looking for possible id's for cracquele pieces might be
Alfredo's site.  Loetz and Kralik (probably amongst others - my knowledge is very limited) did this type of cracquele I think and you may be able to find a shape match on this site?
The link is to inkwells as I copied it from another post but it will get you to the site where you can navigate around to look at other shapes and decors.
