Sowerby slag glass shot glass
« on: July 29, 2008, 07:21:53 PM »
I thought this was an interesting item, I see quite a few of these JUST A THIMBLE FULL shot glasses, most seem to be made by Davidson, this one was made by Sowerby has the trade mark on the base, its looks slightly more like a glass than a thimble with a flat base, it comes complete with a metal thimble shot measure and what would appear to be the original box which is signed on the top A thimble full, on the bottom of the box , Made in Bavaria

Can you tell me what to look for in slag glass.  I just bought a small slag glass pitcher that has 4 small glasses with it.  It sounds like what you are talking about the glasses are just larger than a thimble with a cherry design.  How do you look for the mark.  I thought it was something a lot bigger till I went to pick it up.
