small possible Alum Bay 'cream'
Paul S.:
Had a feeling it might be from one of the Maltese outputs, I have seen this colourway before - but really not sure. 4 inches/100mm tall, with a sort of heavily bubbled swirling look - and deeply recessed pontil, which smooth in the centre but with a sharp rough outside edge. A little wear but not enough to make it more than about 20 - 25 years old perhaps. Cased in clear, which is much more noticeable at the base. And now for the bad news...it is cracked ....starts at the rim and curves down and round, but fortunately stops half way down, so if I'm careful it might just be o.k. Was in fact going to get a refund from the chartiy shop, but didn't want to make a fuss ;). Very unusual shap I thought - hadn't remembered seeing this shape in glass before. Grateful for anyone thoughts, and thanks for looking.

These are everywhere in different colours and usually cited as Mdina, but I'm pretty sure they're not. They're new I think.

thank you - although I hadn't been aware of seeing the style that commonly. Really quite attractive, pity about the crack, and it will probably go back to the charity shop at some stage. :)

Alum Bay perhaps

Alum Bay was my first thought on seeing it but I kept quite as I had never seen a jug from them before. The snapped pontil mark and use of colour are very characteristic of much of their production.
The vase and jug on ebay that Christine has provided a link to looks like a clincher to me. I would be very surprised Paul if your jug was not made by Alum Bay.
