Black and Gold horse's head signed Gambaro?
Alfies Dad:
I found this today but is in quite a sorry state its missing one ear and looks as if its lived in a marine aquarium for some years and is covered with a crustacean like matter (does anyone know of something to remove this?) signed Gambaro (i think), I've not seeen these before and wondered if anyone could give me some info, measurement is 11 cm high.
Robert.
Greg.:
Mario Gambaro (Murano)
GlassIsGood:
I don't know if it would hurt the glass, but the aquarium deposit might be calcareous in nature and might respond to a limescale active cleaner - descaler or toilet cleaner - however, you had better check with the others on here whether they would harm the glass before doing so.
However, the main reason for posting is to say I like the head - I have a full Murano horse with a very similar feel about it that I've had since I was small - I'll dig it out later and do a photo.
Alfies Dad:
Many thanks to you both  .... I will try some of those cleaning products, hope it works.. it is quite unsightly at the moment :X:
TxSilver:
The finish is called scavo. It looks like it has been buried for a long time. Gambaro made a good bit of scavo black glass. No need to clean it. It is supposed to look that way.
