Carafe / decanter...ID Required. Mould Blown poss Scandinavian..?

Greg.:
Hi All,

Hoping someone could help throw some light on this one.

Similar to Sarpaneva pieces I own, although this piece does have clear differences. Apart from the shape being different the base is also very different as its not inverted like other Sarpanevea pieces I have. (However the base does show a fair amount of wear.)

I know other Scandinavian designers have produced similar designs notably Kaj Franck and Tapio Wirkkala, although I am not as familiar with their output. Perhaps its origins lie somewhere else altogether..

Measures 8 inches tall.

All thoughts welcome.

Thanks,
Greg

Greg.:
wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this one...? :-\

Greg.:

Just saw this Kaj Franck decanter set on designlasi, although mine, does appear to taper inwards slightly towards the base.  Any thoughts............

Lustrousstone:
It's not an uncommon form (often referred to as a Martini pitcher/jug) and was made by lots of companies... Colour looks Italian.

Greg.:
thanks Christine
