Glass Identification - Post here for all ID requests > Glass
Look what I got this morning at car booty
dinklepip:
oooooooooooo nice eh, first time I have come across one of these, small chip to one of the corners though but still a nice piece
dinklepip:
pfft, didn't even ask you guys to ID this for me as I am pretty sure it's Sklo and I thought it would be easy to find this on the net as to pattern name and designer.........but............. nope can't find it
glassobsessed:
Well Dinkle or is it Pip? ;D
Yes it is sklo, which means glass, I assume you mean is it Czech pressed glass as in Sklo Union. Yes it is, designer Rudolf Jurnikl made at Rudolfova hut. Sounds like you need to buy a copy of the book by Marcus Newhall Sklo Union Art Before Industry. It comes highly recommended and can be found for sale at a competitive price at present.
John
dinklepip:
Hi John, you can pip me dinkle anytime :24: :24: :24:. thought it was Hut but not sure as I couldn't find this pattern. Think I am gonna have to purchase this book as I quite often find Czech pieces.....and thanks.........didn't know Sklo mean Glass, I thought it was a factory name :24: :24: :24: :24: :24: :24: :24: durrrrrrrrrrrrr
Lustrousstone:
hut just means factory in the same way as sklo means glass. I'm sorry but you have to use the full name otherwise your comments are meaningless
