Challenge? 2 labels, and Signed -- STILL ????
« on: October 06, 2010, 05:24:59 AM »
    :hi: I draw a blank on this one.

I can not find a thing.  There are 2 clear labels on it that say:

~ CRISTAL HANDMADE F & C
~ EXCLUSIVO de RIPLEY

....and also on the bottom it looks like it is signed FK    ( :spls: get your mind out of the gutter....)    as that is WHAT it looks like ??  :24: Honest, that is what it looks like to me. There is also a date on the bottom that *looks* like 2004 ???  And there is wear....see all the photos.

I can not find a thing.  I am assuming the word *Exclusivo* is either Italian or Spanish (??) I have tried googling F & C and get someone from the 1800 so I doubt it is that...

Anyone -- here is a Challenge for you...as I am coming up empty-handed (unless fancy Mexican Vase...) :-\

So the *answer* must be here in the labels -- but I can not figure it out (honest) so here is a *Quiz Test* for you guys for October as this August Quiz Champ is coming up -- Empty handed on this one...AND since there is label, and a signature -- Hopefully we can figure out the answer.....as I do not know what it is.

Go for it...... I draw a  BLANK

http://www.ripley.cl/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=10051&storeId=10051&categoryId=55203&langId=-1

Ripley is - believe it or not - a US chain with outlets in several (?) South American cities. I have been to the big one in Santiago and found their selection rather tired. Who made their glass? Probably from Mexico.

Hi there -- as per Anik post in *another thread* that my vase and Cubby look the same --- then might my be from Poland too?

See this post here:  http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,36620.0.html

Quoted from Anik, in that above post:
Buck, your vase is Adam Jabłoński (AJ), made in Poland.

Take a look here:  http://www.hutajablonski.pl/  -- click on 'wazony' and go to page 3...  you'll see a very similar one.

All the best.  :)

So just wondering then if mine is Poland too.....thanks.  Looks the same to me. :-\

Hi Rose...  I don't know if your vase is a Jabłoński piece.  I think this design is pretty 'generic' and could really be any number of makers.  Plus, all the Jabłoński pieces which I've seen and handled were signed...  even the 'wonky' ones.

Sorry I can't be of more help.  :-\

Hi there - So you think it is Jablonski then -- but wonkier writing -- or ??  It sure looks like Cubbys and like that one on that link.  What initials do you think they are??

What do you call that glass (style) near the bottom -- Crystallized glass ?? crystallized bubbles??  I have no idea how to describe it at all??

At least one thing, those lobes are nice, and clear (sharp) at the corners of the base.

thanks as always.... :kissy:

( I was to the Dentist today - had a filling that broke...........so some pain here.............but slowly getting better now...)  ;D
