I don't know anything about the stamp mark, but (if it was my sort of thing) I would be seriously questioning the condition - "great condition" could cover a multitude of sins, and there seem to be black marks in/on the body and other strange things inside the rim.

For that sort of money, (over 6 month's income for me :thud: ) I think I'd want it to be in perfect condition.
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)

I checked the prices on other things offered, because the price on this vase seemed very high for what it was.  :spls:

The mark, although not too clear does look like the S&W 'stamp' but then so does the fake one in 'British Glass 1800-1914' by Hajdamach,I agree with Sue it's looks a little dodgy and if some thing 'niffs' it's probably best to leave it alone :wsh:

I played with the picture some and found there is writing on the bottom of the vase. The numbers 27/65 are there. There is also some scratching that doesn't look like shelf wear to me. Curious vase. The rim and finish reminds me of some of the Bohemian glass vases.

i see what you mean - there is no flair - the colours are peculiar - the rim and foot is odd ! the trouble is - i only have handled 2 or 3 cameo pieces in my life so its hard to say and the pics are not the best as well ... ! last but not least - the shape doesn´t look very english to me ! :ra:

One would think that for that kind of money pics would be great, unless of course there is a reason for them to not be.  I am always leery of sellers that have tens of thousands of dollars worth of goods listed, and are a bad amateur photographer at best......  with a bad camera....

And I agree on the shape....  does not seem quite right....

And why does the Macro work well when shooting the side cameo detail, but does not work well for the mark?????   Hmmmmmmmm.......Curious
