Given the poor photos it could actually be a gorgeous vase in real life and once cleaned up.  I'd certainly want to see it in person before even thinking much further on it.

I wonder if they put the the pencil or whatever marks on the bottom trying to make the stamp more visible.  Surely they would clean off quite easily otherwise.  I can't see any other reason why they are there.   The written numbers don't make a lot of sense unless they were some kind of auction lot or inventory numbers.

The sellers have accidentally added a zero or two to all their listings... >:D

Seems to me to be a new ebay seller, more used to a bricks & mortar shop in NY where you can get away with such prices.

They have been on ebay since 2002...... 9 years, 63 feedbacks... 21 as a seller and 42 as a buyer..... they just have low sales, likely a reflection of value vs asking price......  or as Cathy so nicely put it, the accidental addition of a zero to each of their prices.....   :24:   I think more delusional, I mean wishful thinking.....

 8) well Thomas- my mum used to say- "If in doubt, do without" For me the vase is only O.K. and I agree that the colour, shape and sparseness of the overall design does not,IMHO, scream to me Stevens and Williams. Mind you all I have seen has been in countless museums and some private collections and the pretty pictures in British Glass 1800-1914 C Hajdamach. regards Carol

And if you want the very, very best Cameo work of all time, what you want is a contemporary piece by Helen Millard.
She's better than any of the old "classics". Honest!

Or have a look at Jonathan Harris, or Tim Harris, for silver and gold cameo carved work.

Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)
