Opaque white enameled bowl on stand - French opaline?
« on: October 16, 2010, 09:17:19 PM »
Any opinions on this bowl are welcome - age, origin ect.  3 1/2" tall. heavy enamel on opaque white glass.  The stand is attached with plaster and it is brass.  My guess is 1880s, French opaline.  Am I close?  Thanks for looking.

I think you're close - French or Bohemian anytime between the 1890s and 1920 - but it seems the lid is missing.  :hi:

Thank you both for the replies.  Definitely missing a lid - the rim is not polished.  But for $1, even a bottom only deserves a home.
