Chalet exhibit program and reference guide now available
« on: November 03, 2010, 01:21:43 PM »
The Chalet art glass exhibit (in Cornwall, Ontario) grand opening was on the weekend and was a fantastic success – we had over 200 people through the door and 5 of the Chalet glass blowers attended as our guests of honour. They were amazing to be around and amazed at the attention they received – they really had no idea that the art glass they created in the last century has the enduring appeal to the number of collectors that it does in this century – and worldwide too.For those Chalet collectors who cannot travel to Cornwall-you are able to purchase the official exhibit program on-line.

a reference guide “Chalet Marks, Labels and Product Lines” was also launched at the exhibit and sold out but is in second printing so will be available again next week. This reference guide is quite comprehensive- 30 pages – with examples of boutique labels, inventory stickers and mismarks as well as 25 Chalet marks, labels and lines.  There is also sections regarding those" Similar yet Different" Canadian glass houses of the 1960's and 1970's who make id's complicated, a “History of Chalet” section, “ The Art and Artists” section, original photos of the factory, glass blowers.... Like the exhibit program, it was professionally photographed, professionally laid out and professionally bound and printed. I can guarantee all the Chalet pieces used as examples are marked as they are in the photos used.

You may order both publications from www.chaletvintageartglass.com
