unusual shaped Uranium water jug.
Paul S.:
has the 'yellowish/green colourway, with the C20 style of applied handle - optically moulded, but cheap looking with slightly lop sided stance and a very poorly finished top rim. 180mm - 7.1/8" tall, and quite considerable wear on what appears to be a mould finished base. I've seen a lot of water jugs - including quite a few U. examples, but fairly sure I've not seen one with this very deep 'pan shaped' top previously - although think I may have seen one in a book somewhere.
I get a feeling this is possibly not British, and although a couple of U. w/jugs in Barry Skelcher - nothing of this design. Is the top designed this way for a reason does anyone know. Age wise I'm also a bit lost but am thinking 1920 - 30. Could it be older? Grateful for any replies and thanks for looking :)

Its a bedside water jug , an upturned glass sits inside the rim , sometimes called a guest jug or decanter .

thanks jp - first time I have been aware of seeing one of these, so obviously uncommon at my usual haunts. A variation on the 'carafe and up'. Pity I don't have the tumbler - yet. :)
