You could always go homemade...

My wallunit is homemade...  my dad came all the way from Canada to design and build some furniture for his most favourite youngest daughter.

By the way, for those of you with hanging shelves, aren't you afraid that the weight of the glass will eventually send the shelf and all the pieces crashing to the floor?

I've loved this thread!  People here as crazy as me!  ;D :24:  Every flat surface in my house is covered in glass - there are too many pics to post!  I tend to keep my Victorian Vaseline glass and similar 'old-fashioned' pieces in old=fashioned cabinets, bought at antique shops.  Everything else is on window sills, tables, the top of filing cabinets and book cases, you name it!

Here's a few pics of my actual cabinets - can't buy any more as I've run out of places to stand them!  I need a few sky-hooks!   ::)

irritating how other people's glass always looks more interesting than your own.   Never feel that mine is displayed well enough - too much is in my three garden sheds, the loft, and poked under other furniture, on the floor, in wicker hampers on top of the wardrobes etc.  -  obviously, I must take an 'O' level in 'How to display Glass'      Emmi, the colours look good against white, but they're exposed, and you must needs dust from time to time, I guess. :)

Right Leni, the D word is banned.  Paul already knows I am a dust slut, so he is just rubbing it in!!!!!  Those photos were taken about 3 years ago, a whole load more glass is on each shelf now, but I see it as being a larger glass area for the dust to settle on therefore being a thinner layer of dust.  LOL!!!  Anyway I see dust as a protective covering!

You can't beat a woman's logic Paul............ :hiclp:

don't you believe it..............try speaking to my wife!! :'(
In fact I'm looking for a woman who is oblivious to dust, has no problem with being ignored for most of the week, is blind to most surfaces being covered in glass, and doesn't object to boot sale goodies cluttering the house.    Oh, and she must have an interest in old things (me) and shhhhh, this is the best bit -  will pay for most things when we do (rarely) go out socially (because most of my money has already gone on you know what) :24:
